Welcome to Kentucky's Frankfort Optimist Club!
 
We're glad you're visiting our website!  Frankfort Optimist has been meeting the needs of Kentucky's Franklin County youth, "Bringing Out the Best in Kids" since 1947.  Meetings are open -- members, friends & guests meet at noon each Tuesday at Frankfort's Office Pub & Deli, 614 Comanche Trail, Frankfort Kentucky, USA

Optimist Members Invited to Reception Honoring Angela Criswell

 

All members are invited to a reception on Thursday, June 25, 2009, 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m., 649 Charity Court, Frankfort, KY, honoring Frankfort Optimist member & past-president Angela Criswell.  Though she is leaving Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD), she will join another agency that works with youth -- Bluegrass Regional Prevention Center!

Frankfort Optimist Promotes Healthy Lifestyles Training Youth for Frankfort's Pro.Active for Life 5 K Run

 

The Pro.Active for Life 5k, sponsored by Pro.Active Therapy on Leawood Drive in Frankfort (KY), featured a "Frankfort Optimist" component  on Friday evening, June 12, 2009. Robin Antenucci & Judy Zeigler ran the Proactive 5K race with youth who participate in the Kings Center programs.

Frankfort Optimist Introduces the 2009 Rising Star Award Recipients!

 

Frankfort Optimist's Rising Star Celebration was held on Tuesday, May 19, 2009, with Rodger "Kentucky Joe" Bingham, as guest speaker!  Almost 200 people - ALL 28 Rising Stars, their parents, grandparents, friends, neighbors, Club members and guests enjoyed a wonderful program which celebrated our 2009 Rising Stars (click on the link for their names)!  What a great group of students -- congratulations to all!

 

Frankfort Optimist board and members express our sincere appreciation to all who made this program happen -- parents, Club volunteers, banks that provided savings bonds, businesses that donated, teachers and school administrators who helped and especially, the students who did their best!


 

Frankfort Optimist Club thanks all those who participated in our annual Scooter Fest at the Longest Day of Play!  Photos will be posted soon!
